Early Intervention programs:
These programs are designed to address the causes of learning differences before the child experiences failure.
working with children - workshops - educational intervention

We offer parent and educator workshops to assist in understanding why a student may be struggling and what can be done to improve student learning. Discovery Program of IL LLC provides services through a variety of academic and cognitive programs for students throughout the school year and during the summer. These services are provided through Discovery Program of Illinois, working independently of and/or in close harmony with public, private, and home schools. Programs of specific educational intervention include the following:

NILD - Educational Therapy® for students second grade to adult that develops learning ability and strengthens cognitive functioning through interactive language that is intentional and explicitly focused upon learning needs defined through a psychological and educational assessment.

SEARCH & TEACH® for K-5 to second grade. The Search scan shows vulnerabilities in reading while the Teach program is early intervention for these areas of difficulty

Group Educational Therapy
Students receive two 80-minute sessions of intensive NILD Educational Therapy in a small group setting.

Intensive Math Intervention
This program uses the “Big Ideas” of math to enable struggling learners to learn the foundations for math.  Applies multi-sensory intervention to math thus enabling students to learn through a variety of ways.  Encourages students to become successful independent learners.

Wilson Reading®
Wilson Reading  enables students to  become fluent, independent  readers, using a  multi-sensory approach to structured language programs and strategic reading.

Rx for Discovery Reading®
This reading program is designed for children ages 6-18 who struggle to read.  A multi-sensory approach is used to establish the foundational skills necessary for reading.
